  1. I have a 25 yr old Deville double door wood burner. With a descending glass front, It works well but the baffle plate now doesn’t fit correctly. Is it ok to hit it to straighten it? It’s About 70 cms x 30cms.

  2. Hi Penny

    It’s one of those questions that would benefit from the power of hindsight. If it goes well, then there’s no reason why you can’t straighten. But if it breaks or you make it worse, then it’s probably not a good idea.

    It probably depends on the condition of the baffle and the level of your metalworking skills.
