You’ve removed all the components on your Mazona Olympus stove. Perhaps you’ve been fitting a spare or maybe you want to get everything out to give it a good clean. The question is, how do you rebuild it to become a fully-functioning multi-fuel stove once again?
Hopefully you’ll be sure of the answer by the time you reach the end of this article.
1. We’re working to the assumption that you’re starting with an empty stove that looks like this:
2. The first step is to replace the rear plate at the back of your stove.
3. Now, get the left plate ready…
4. … and put it back in its rightful place.
5. It’s the turn of the right plate next. Get it ready and then fit it as you did the left plate.
6. By this stage you should all the plates in and you stove will look like this:
7. The next step is to get your grate ready…
10. Now, place the baffle on top of the plates.
11. You should see a small post sticking out of the inner wall of the stove slightly above where the baffle is currently resting.
Thanks for info spot on photos really helped top job
Thanks for the kind words, Steve.
Try it with an arrow 7 and you can’t use a friend or octopus
Haha, Mark! We don’t know where we’d be without Graham, our trusty octopus assistant, to help with these things.
Great –but it didn’t go in as easy as that looked on the Kansas! Thanks for the great after sales service and your helpful series of tips!
John
It’s a pleasure, John. You might find it gets a bit easier next time.
Well thought out Steve. Very helpful.
Thanks, Roy.
Hi. I have found it useful as an ‘aide memoir’ to take photos with a digital camera or phone camera to assist in re-assembling complex mechanical items.
Thanks for sharing your tip, Peter.
thankyou, thankyou, thankyou

Hi Dave
Unfortunately, we don’t stock those.
Thanks,
Gr8Fires
Thank you so much for the easy to follow instructions, how to fit a baffle plate. I was struggling to fit my new plate, being a woman on my own, and trying to fit it with out instructions, never done this before, I had the plate upside down, and every which way but the right one. Hurray I have done it ready in time for winter.
Can you tell me what size rope I need for this model and do you have in stock?
Hi Graham
For the door its 8mm and if it’s for the glass its 6mm, all rope can found here on our website: https://www.gr8fires.co.uk/stove-spares/glass-rope-kits
Thanks,
Gr8Fires
Ok Thanks. Ordered.
Just looked at your pictorial demo. A bit more tricky with the Aarow Acorn as it has a raking system rather than one solid piece for the base. I took the five or six individual pieces out and laid them on the floor in the exact order I removed them otherwise I may have got in a mess beyond the ash and soot.
the door glass has gone like crackle glass why
Hi Theresa,
It’s possible that there’s a hairline crack in the glass. Here are some things that might have caused it: https://blog.gr8fires.co.uk/2014/08/31/why-has-the-glass-cracked-on-my-woodburner/
Thanks,

Hi.
Where can I get a replacement grate for a JA010?
Hi Victor
We don’t have any in stock, so it would just be a case of a Google search to see if anyone has any stock left (that model has been discontinued).
Thanks,
Gr8Fires
